Phantom Island x Diving

As the only middle-aged man on the tour, I was a little worried at first that I might stick out, but thanks to the small group size and the guide’s friendly conversation throughout, I had so much fun that I didn’t have a moment to feel lonely. The thrill of finally swimming with sea turtles in the crystal-clear ocean is a memory I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I was also thrilled to be able to capture so many photos of myself thanks to the free GoPro rental.

My boyfriend and I tried our hand at a trial dive together♪ It was my first time, so I was a little nervous, but the instructor taught us carefully and kindly, so we were able to dive safely together! We both got super excited when we saw a sea turtle underwater★ We were able to capture lots of great videos with the GoPro we borrowed for free, and it made for the best souvenir ever!

My heart was simply cleansed by the beauty of the emerald-green sea stretching as far as the eye could see and the pure white, otherworldly island... During the introductory dive, my heart swelled at the sight of a sea turtle swimming leisurely right in front of me... I truly had a wonderful, dreamlike time...

It was great to see the scenery of the “phantom island” and encounter sea turtles. Since it was a small group, the instructor was able to give everyone plenty of attention. However, the boat ride took longer than I expected, and since it was a bit choppy that day, I got pretty tired toward the end. I think this is a standard tour best suited for people who are confident in their physical stamina.

From landing on the "phantom island" to the diving, this well-organized itinerary offers great value for the price. We were definitely able to see sea turtles. However, the lunch portion felt a little small for men, so I think it would have been perfect if we’d brought a light snack with us.

It was a super efficient and totally satisfying plan that let us quickly enjoy both the “Phantom Island” and some diving—all in just the morning! After relaxing on the pristine white sandy beach and soaking in the breathtaking views, we went diving in a sea teeming with fish—it was just like the Palace of the Dragon King♪ The staff kindly walk you through how to use the equipment step by step, so even beginners can feel at ease☆ If you want to experience the ocean around Ishigaki Island, I absolutely recommend this place!
