Experience Diving

Experience diving is a diving tour for beginners, which can be enjoyed without a license.

8:00	Gathering ~ Departure ➡︎ If you wish to be picked up, our staff will pick you up at your accommodation (free of charge in the city center) ((You will be sharing the ride with other passengers, so it may take longer to pick you up and drop you off.) If you are coming by rental carToyoko INN Ishigakijimaand accompany them in the back of a car driven by a staff member.Hamasaki MarinaWe will take you to the following location. (Free P parking available) On arrival at the port, you will change into a wetsuit and depart. Please come with your swimsuit on under your clothes by the meeting time.
	Wetsuit sizing ➡︎We will check your physical condition, fill out the application form, and explain about the boat and the day's flow. We will also introduce you to the staff who will be with you on the day, and finally we will set sail from Hamasaki Marina!
9:00	Arrive at "Phantom Island" (free time) ➡︎As we approach the "Phantom Island," the color of the sea changes gradually to a brilliant emerald green. After landing, our staff will take pictures of the island.
10:00	Experience Diving ➡︎ The captain will assess the wind direction, wave conditions, and tide currents of the day and guide you to the point with the best conditions of the day.
12:00	Point transfer - lunch time ➡︎The location of the lunch will depend on the sea conditions of the day. (See(We change the location depending on the sea conditions, such as going back to Ishigaki Island once when it is a bit rocky.)
13:00	snorkeling ➡︎Let's go observe sea turtles. We will take you to a calm point with the highest encounter rate of the day.
15:00	Return to port - Dismissal Return to ➡︎ harbor. The boat is equipped with a shower so you can easily let the tide drop. After returning to the harbor, pick-up and drop-off will take you back to your hotel. (For those coming by rental car, the tour will end locally.)

Q. What is the difference between the two?How far can I be picked up and dropped off?

Hotel pick-up service is available only in the southern urban area of Ishigaki Island.
From other areas, please use a rental car, local bus, or cab.
The meeting place for those who are not being picked up will be in front of the Vessel Hotel.

Note: Vessel Hotel Ishigakijima has nothing to do with this store.
Please do not park or contact the hotel.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Can the pick-up and drop-off vehicles be wet?

Yes, we do. Pick-up and drop-off vehicles are available for wet passengers.

Q. What is the difference between the two?What is the meeting place and time?

It depends on the tour you are joining and where you are staying. The day before the tour, the store will inform you of the meeting time and place by phone or short message to your cell phone.

If you do not hear from the store after 7:00 p.m., please contact us. Please note that we will not be able to give you a confirmed meeting place and time until the day before the tour.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is it possible to participate in a day trip from remote islands (Kohama Island, Iriomote Island, Taketomi Island, Kuroshima, Hatoma Island, Hateruma Island)?

It is possible. However, please let us know at the time of reservation if you are coming from the area concerned.
Also, please be sure to inform us of the time you will be crossing to the islands after the end of the tour.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is there a place to change clothes?

If you wish to change all of your clothes, you may do so in the ship's washroom.
Those who are being picked up and dropped off can leave their bathing suits on, but those who come by rental car are asked to use the restrooms on the ship, as it is better to keep their cars dry as much as possible.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is there a place to leave my luggage?

There are no lockers, but there are boxes on the ship to store your luggage. However, the size of the boxes is limited, so please bring only the bare necessities such as towels, sunscreen, anti-sickness medicine, and valuables.

Carry-on bags and other items can be left in the car.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Where do you eat lunch?

It depends on the conditions of the day. If there is any turbulence, we will return to the port for lunch.
If the conditions are safe for lunch, we will have lunch on the boat while viewing the beautiful sea of Ishigaki Island.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Are there showers on site?

There is a simple shower provided on the boat. In winter, hot water is available.
However, the amount is limited, so it will only be a light drop of seawater.

If you have checked out of your hotel or are flying in and want to clean off the seawater, our staff will guide you to a hotel where you can use the showers, so please feel free to ask.

Q. What is the difference between the two?I have poor eyesight, can I still do it?

Masks with prescription are also available.
However, contact lenses are recommended if you have contact lenses, as they may not match your eyesight. There have been no cases of contact lenses being lost while underwater! We have not had any cases of contact lenses being lost underwater, but disposable contact lenses are recommended.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is there a place to withdraw money near the hotel or port?

Post office, Bank of the Ryukyus, Bank of Okinawa, Kaihou Bank, JA Bank, and AEON Bank ATMs are available.
Cash cards from city and regional banks can also be used.
In addition, there is an ATM at a convenience store (AEON Bank in Cocostore).

This was the best tour to fully experience the beauty of the sea of Ishigaki Island. Not only the landing on the fantastic island, but the beauty of the coral we saw during the experience diving and the encounter with sea turtles was truly impressive. The guides were very supportive, so even those who are not comfortable in the ocean can join the tour. Lunch was delicious and the entire day was a fulfilling program. Another very nice service is the free gift of photo data taken during the tour. This wonderful experience is a must-do when you come to Ishigaki Island.
