This plan starts from Kohama Island and includes a half-day snorkeling experience and landing on a phantom island (Hamashima).

Phantom Island" is a small crescent-shaped uninhabited island located between Ishigaki and Iriomote Islands. Since it is uninhabited, there are no man-made structures such as buildings, and pure white sandy beach spreads all over as far as the eye can see.

Q. Is there a place to change on the day?

The ship's restrooms are used in conjunction with the changing rooms, so you can change your clothes.

Ship facilities include simple showers (water), toilets, and changing rooms (also used as restrooms) so that you can change and disembark when you disembark.

Q. What is the difference between the two?How do I get to Obama Port?

Kohama Port can be reached in about 30 minutes by ferry departing from Ishigaki Port Remote Islands Terminal.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Is the meeting place easy to find?

After disembarking from the ferry, this is in front of the quay, which has moved to the right (north side) when looking at the Obama Port Terminal.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Can I snorkel even if I am not a good swimmer?

Our snorkel point is very close to where we stopped the boat, so you can see fish and coral without having to leave the boat.

We will also teach you how to properly put on the three-piece set (mask, snorkel, and fins), and the key points to remember when snorkeling, all within feet of each other, so please come and join us.Even those who are not good swimmers can enjoy snorkeling because life jackets ensure safe buoyancy.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Do I have to wear a life jacket?

For safety reasons, all guests are required to wear life jackets (life vests) or wetsuits.
Even those who can swim may suddenly have a seizure, and we believe it is necessary to ensure their safety.

We also provide life jackets for infants, so you can enjoy playing in the ocean with your small children without anxiety. With life jackets to ensure buoyancy, enjoy snorkeling safely and securely.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Are there toilets on the ship?

Each boat is equipped with a toilet. The toilet is used differently than usual, using seawater for flushing and all dumping is done underwater, so toilet paper should be thrown in the trash. (Detailed instructions on how to use these toilets will be provided at the time of your tour.)

Q. What is the difference between the two?I have poor eyesight. Do you have rental masks with glasses?

We also rent masks (one size only) with prescription (limited to those with less than 0.1 vision).

Snorkeling with a mask while wearing contact lenses is also possible. *We are not responsible for lost contact lenses.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Do you have rental items for children?

Masks, fins (21 cm or taller), life jackets (from about 100 cm in height), and wetsuits for children are also available for rent.
Floating boats are also available for infants only. (Please consult with us in the remarks column of the reservation form.)

Q. Does the infant fee include snorkel equipment rental for infants?

Rental for toddlers is included; 3-piece sets, life jackets, etc. are provided. Small children (from approx. 21 cm) are flutter-footed due to the lack of fin size.

Q. Are there toddlers who can snorkel at age 3?

Some small children can snorkel. For those who cannot, box glasses are available. For first-time snorkelers, we will practice snorkeling in shallow water where they can stand on their feet before heading to the snorkel point.

Q. Will there be someone on board to watch the children?

Basically, parents are requested to follow their children.

Q. Is there a fee to rent a floating boat?

Floating boats are available for rent free of charge. Please let us know at the time of reservation that you would like to rent a floating boat. The boats are for one person. The number of boats is limited, so please take turns with your children.

Q. How much time do we have to stay on the island and snorkel?

The tour will last approximately 1 hour on the island and 1 hour snorkeling. However, during the 1 hour stay at the island, we will practice snorkeling where you can stand on your feet (depending on the sea conditions). You will have about 30 minutes of free time to spend at your own leisure.

My nephews had a blast, too. We were able to play safely together in the shallow waters off Phantom Island, and I felt at ease knowing that the staff kindly taught the kids how to swim while we were snorkeling. I was right. The "Phantom Island" was beautiful, and I really enjoyed snorkeling there. If I had to nitpick, though, the boat ride there was a little rocky.

The kids had a blast snorkeling. Thanks to the guide, who gently supported them with life jackets, I, as a parent, felt at ease letting them experience the underwater world. On the "Mysterious Island," they ran around on the white sandy beach with big smiles on their faces the whole time, and we made so many wonderful family memories.

First, we took a boat to the "Island of Dreams," where the contrast between the pristine white sandy beach and the blue ocean left me speechless. Next, we moved to a different spot to try snorkeling, where we took our time observing the beautiful coral and tropical fish. We were able to fully enjoy Ishigaki Island’s natural beauty all day long, making for a truly fulfilling experience.

I think it offers good value for the price. I appreciate that the tour combines a visit to the “Mysterious Island” with snorkeling, allowing you to make the most of your time. However, if I had to nitpick, the changing area was a bit cramped, so I recommend wearing your swimsuit beforehand. Overall, I’m satisfied.

I joined the tour with my 1 year old child, but the trip was short and we didn't have to worry about getting seasick. The island was even more beautiful than I had imagined, and it was a great place to take pictures! The guide told us about the fish and coral, which was fun for the adults as well.

It was helpful that I was able to join the tour by making a reservation on the same day. It was a great day, and we were able to make good use of the time we had available due to a sudden change of plans. The snorkeling at Shihsi lagoon was wonderful, not to mention the spectacular view of the Phantom Island. Although we did not see sea turtles, we were happy to see other abundant sea creatures. The gradation of the sea is beautiful. It was my first time to visit Hamashima, but it was so beautiful that I was speechless. The boat ride was about 15 minutes so I didn't get seasick and enjoyed it. Snorkeling is also great!

The visit to the fantastic island was truly a dream come true. The experience on the uninhabited island with its white sandy beach was like being on a private beach.
