Phantom Island is an island that appears out of the emerald green sea only for a certain time depending on the tide level.

Taketomi Island

Taketomi Island belongs to the Yaeyama Islands and is a remote island easily accessible by a 10-minute high-speed boat ride from Ishigaki Island.Traditional Okinawan townscapeis preserved on the island is a beauty unlike any other.

We'll give you a ferry ticket to Ishigaki, so you can return to Ishigaki Island at a time that's convenient for you.

*Please note that the tour price includes only the ferry ticket between Ishigaki Island and Taketomi Island. If you wish to take a water buffalo cart tour or rent a bicycle, you must make your own arrangements on-site, and payment will be made there as well.

Phantom Island was seriously amazing lol. I saw tons of fish while snorkeling, and the afternoon sightseeing on Taketomi Island was so relaxing—it was just the best! It’s crazy how much fun you can have in just one day! I’m so glad I went with my friends!

I used this shop during my last visit to Ishigaki Island, and this time I came back to book a package that included sightseeing on Taketomi Island. It was a packed itinerary that let us fully enjoy all the popular spots—from Ishigaki Island to the “Phantom Island” and on to Taketomi Island—in just one day! ♪ It was such a treat to enjoy snorkeling in the crystal-clear ocean and then take a leisurely water buffalo cart ride through Taketomi Island’s red-tiled streets! The lunch provided was delicious, and I left feeling completely full and satisfied. ☆ I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the Yaeyama Islands for the first time!

We took this tour as a family. We spent the morning enjoying the “Phantom Island” and snorkeling, and in the afternoon, we rode a water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island. Since the tour was open to children as young as 3, our family signed up. During the snorkeling, the staff kindly helped our child so they wouldn’t be scared, and they had a great time playing on the sandy beach of the “Mythical Island.” Since the tour included sightseeing on Taketomi Island, there was no stress involved in getting around, which was a huge help for us as parents. I used this service for a trip with my boyfriend, and it turned into the best memory ever. Snorkeling together in the beautiful ocean and having him take so many wonderful photos of me on the “Mythical Island” was pure bliss. I’d say the value for money is excellent. The package included snorkeling, a visit to the “Mysterious Island,” and a tour of Taketomi Island with lunch, which saved me the trouble of making arrangements and allowed me to see everything efficiently. The guide’s explanations were also spot-on. If I had to nitpick, though, I think if the free time on Taketomi Island had been a little longer, I could have explored the island at a more leisurely pace. Overall, the tour was very fulfilling.

Nothing but Instagram-worthy spots! Since you can visit multiple spots in a single day, this is an efficient and excellent plan for those who aren’t good at organizing their schedules. The scenery on the “Phantom Island” was beautiful, and the lunch was very satisfying. However, if I had to mention one thing, the boat ride to Taketomi Island was a bit rocky, so I recommend that anyone prone to motion sickness take precautions in advance.

The facilities were great. I never thought I would be able to do such a full range of activities on a day trip from Ishigaki Island! The beauty of the Island of Illusions is seriously exceptional. The sea world I saw while snorkeling was otherworldly. And the leisurely flow of time on Taketomi Island made me forget about my daily life.
