After landing at Phantom Island, we will move the boat a little to a snorkel point. The Ishinishi lagoon area, which has one of the largest coral colonies in Japan, is full of attractions such as transparency, quality of coral, and number of fish.

Blue Cave

At the entrance to the Blue Cave, there is a spot where seawater pools, created by nature's continual digging of the cliffs and seafloor. This pool of seawater is called the "Blue Cave" because the "shadow" created by the cliff and the "light" from the outside world make it appear blue.

The trek to the Blue Cave is not too difficult and anyone can participate. You will see many creatures along the way!

After exploring the Blue Cave, we will swim to the offshore extension of the Blue Cave. You will enjoy a dynamic out reef snorkeling experience.

You will swim through the coral reef valley to the out-reef while watching the fish. This snorkel course is available from the beach, so those who are worried about getting seasick can rest assured!

8:20	Pick-up at your accommodation (city area only) ➡︎ Staff with boats will be waiting for you. If you are meeting directly with your rental car, please come to the meeting place that we will inform you in advance. Free parking space is available at the site.
9:00	Embarkation - Departure Please board the boat at ➡︎ and we will give you a brief explanation of the day's tour, including how to use the boat restrooms. (about 5 minutes)
9:30	Arrival at Phantom Island After landing at ➡︎, enjoy approximately 30-35 minutes of free time to explore the uninhabited island, take commemorative photos, and enjoy a relaxing tropical time.
10:00	departure from a phantom island ➡︎ After enjoying the phantom island, we will take a short boat ride to the snorkeling point.Travel time is about 5-15 minutes, depending on the point.
10:20	Arrival at snorkel point ➡︎ Snorkeling time is approximately 45-50 minutes. Our staff will take underwater photos and other pictures, so please feel free to bring your camera.
11:20	End of snorkeling ➡︎ After snorkeling, we will have a cup of tea and take a break before moving to our lunch time location.
12:00	Lunch time & Break
12:45	Departure to Blue Cave (overland) ➡︎We will travel overland to the Blue Cave. After arriving at the Blue Cave point, snorkeling equipment will be distributed and we will first enter the jungle!The jungle is thick with subtropical plants and you may encounter small creatures on land. The jungle trek itself takes about 5-8 minutes. It is a short but unexplored experience.
13:30	Arrival at the entrance point of the Blue Cave ➡︎ After exiting the jungle, you will find a beach of pure white sand. From this sandy beach, you can take a beach trek to the Blue Cave. A variety of underwater life can be seen in the shallows.
13:50	Arrival at the Blue Cave ➡︎The inside of the cave is a large hall that you cannot imagine from the outside. Enjoy the natural scenery created over tens of thousands of years.
14:20	Snorkeling (about 40-50 minutes) ➡︎We will give an easy-to-understand lecture for first-timers and children. Our staff will take pictures of you in the water, so please feel free to bring your camera if you have one. After the tour, we will take you back to your accommodation.
16:00	End of tour ➡︎Arrival at your accommodation/ Thank you for your time!

*Basically, the snorkeling points for this course are located around the national park designated area called "Shihsi Jagoho," but depending on the sea conditions, the snorkeling points may be prioritized to prevent the boat from rocking.

For the utmost safety consideration of the mother, we do not allow pregnant women to participate in our activities in principle.

No problem at all! Life jackets are worn, so even non-swimmers can enjoy the experience. Before entering the water, we will give you a lecture on swimming tips and techniques, and your guide will always swim with you, so please rest assured.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Do I need a wetsuit?

During the season (May-October), temperatures and water temperatures are both warm, so wetsuits are not necessary. On cold days, we will lend you a wetsuit that we provide free of charge, so please contact us if you wish to use one.

Q. What is the difference between the two?Do I have to worry about being stung by a habu jellyfish?

Habu jellyfish gather at the edge of waves on beaches. Our basic course includes snorkeling and marine sports at offshore points by boat, so there has been no jellyfish damage. We always have first aid supplies on hand in case you are stung by jellyfish.

I had a great day on this tour! Especially exploring the Blue Cave, the mysterious blue glow was fantastic and I felt as if I had wandered into another world. At the Phantom Island, we enjoyed a peaceful time walking along the white sand beach, and snorkeling at Shihsi lagoon was a fascinating encounter with underwater creatures. The highlight of the tour was actually swimming with sea turtles at Sea Turtle Beach. The professionalism of the guides made the experience enjoyable and safe.

It was a wonderful plan to fully enjoy the charm of Ishigaki Island! The beautiful sandy beach of the Island of Illusion was just like a picture postcard, and the mysterious sight of the Blue Cave expedition was captivating. The snorkeling at the sea turtle beach was also an exciting experience, with a higher than expected encounter rate with sea turtles. Participating in this tour, I was once again impressed by the natural beauty of Ishigaki Island. I am so glad I chose this tour for my trip with my friends. The day flew by with so much to see and do, including the Phantom Island, Shihsi lagoon, and the Blue Cave. At the sea turtle beach, we were able to actually see sea turtles up close and personal, which was very moving.
