Tour of Ishinishi Jagako, the largest coral reef in Japan

Since you can fit both a visit to the “phantom island” and snorkeling with sea turtles into a single day, it’s good value for the price. The water clarity and the condition of the coral were just as described in the pre-trip information. However, the long boat ride can be a bit tiring, so it might be a bit challenging for those who aren’t confident in their stamina. I’d say it’s a standard tour that’s worth the price.

It was a truly wonderful tour that allowed us to efficiently visit all the popular spots. The scenery on Phantom Island was breathtaking, and we had experiences that exceeded our expectations, such as seeing the coral reefs in the Ishisei Lagoon and encountering sea turtles. The free GoPro rental was also very helpful, allowing us to capture vivid footage of the beautiful underwater world. We’d also like to thank our guide for their expert guidance.

Although I participated with my young child, the staff were kind enough to adjust to my child’s pace and spoke to him gently throughout the entire experience, which allowed me, as a parent, to truly relax and enjoy myself. Seeing my child’s eyes light up with joy as he swam alongside the sea turtles filled my heart with emotion. It has become an irreplaceable treasure for our family.

I was so close to the sea turtles that I seriously got super hyped lol. The pure white beach on that “mythical island” was like a real-life paradise—it was insane! The guide was super fun to be around, and I’m so grateful he took us to such an absolutely gorgeous spot lol. If you’re going to Ishigaki, you should definitely book this tour!
